Eastern Medicine

Eastern Medicine is the practice of Stephen Phillips.

The philosophy of the practice is to offer a place where clients can allow their minds and bodies to come to rest, come back to center. It is a peaceful, practical, clean and nurturing environment, where clients can access the very best of Eastern medicine and its philosophy.

Stephen sees his role as being able to
holistically care for you. He supports  both the Physical and Emotional aspects of your health as well he is happy to work in conjunction with your other health practitioners from all areas of healthcare and fitness. You may already have a quality GP or Chiropractor you like dealing with and Stephen is just as happy to support your healing around other therapies. He will use his knowledge and skill to maximize your well being, supporting you on your journey through this life.
His treatments are predominantly based on Chinese and Japanese modalities of health care, including Classical Extra fine needle Acupuncture and both Traditional and Modern Herbal medicine, as well as Remedial and Shiatsu Massage. He believes in strong hands guided by a gentle mind.

He does not practice vigorous massage techniques, but rather is able to apply strong but gentle massage styles to achieve the desired effect. You can be introduced to Eastern Dietary Therapy or Yoga and Meditation practice if you desire and regular Tai Ji Classes are available locally.

His practice has evolved to support the needs of the type of people who are refered to him. Each person seems to be at a place and time of their life when they are making or about to make major changes in the way they interact with the world. Stephen calls the type of medicine he practices, Transformation Medicine as it is more about transforming the current illness into person growth and a higher state of well being.

He looks forward to meeting you and sharing your journey to happiness and wellbeing.
